Details of the day-to-day life on the project:
This short term programme (2 days to 4 weeks) gives volunteers the opportunity to work alongside our animal care staff and take part in our exciting marine mammal rehabilitation work. This programme will enable you to work closely with the seal pups while learning and participating in activities such as feeding, providing medical care, monitoring progress, keeping records, hygiene protocols and other important aspects of caring for rehabilitation animals. This is a part time programme that runs daily for 3 hours from 10am to 1pm. You get to choose the number of days you want to participate in during your experience. Accommodation is not provided by SRI however we can recommend a list of local hotels, hostels and B&Bs.
