VOLUNTEERS DO NOT HELP WITH BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH. You have to take part in the internships available:

Internship - Tropical Field Studies & Conservation

- Lepidopteran project (studying the diversity of butterflies with bait traps and nets)

- Monitoring with camera traps (studying the diversity of mammals and ground birds)

- Long-term bird monitoring (constant effort mist netting and bird banding, bird census)

- Research on flower ecology and hummingbird-plant pollination networks

- Reforestation project (monitoring of seed germination and sapling growth)

- Planning of environmental education workshops for local kids

- Assistance in research projects of other students or researchers
- Data management (data entry and analysis)

First 4 weeks                 $249,75(per week)

Week 5 to 12                 $217,25(per week)

Week 13 to 24               $203,50(per week)

Internship - Project in Tropical Ecology, Animal or Plant Biology

During this internship, you will mainly work on your own internship project, as well as participate in on-going research projects. Students will be supervised by Nicole. She assists interns to plan, carry out and analyze their own investigation. At the end of the internship project students have to write a report about their work and the results (in publication style).

First 8 weeks                 $224 (per week)
